Welcome to my dream!
My name is Laia Papió and I am a fashion designer. I was officially trained at La Llotja, Escola d'Art i Disseny in Barcelona, although my passion for creating garments goes back many years.
At eight years old, thanks to my grandmother Pepita, I started making dresses for my dolls since she came to spend the Christmas holidays at my house. At only eight years old I already knew what I loved, lucky me!
I never stopped sewing, at the age of fifteen I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do: design and make clothing collections. So, there was nothing that stopped me and I put “thread to the needle”, never better said, to my professional career. I studied fashion styling and design for six years and, after a while, I started working as a clothing salesperson. Since what I really liked was creating and designing, during this period of time, I went to my workshop every night to make my dream come true: to see my own brand born.
During the time I worked as a salesperson I realized that, in addition to creating and designing, I also loved selling. So, I decided to pursue my dream: to have a workshop store where I could create and sell my creations.
And here I am! After a long work of self-taught learning and with a lot of effort behind it, I can exclaim that yes, dreams do come true!
