This week is Fashion Revolution Week and as it could not be otherwise, @Vanesa Carrasquilla, the promoter of #yoregalotalentolocal, has had a great idea, for these days of confinement, and this week many small brands are going to get naked before the whole world. Every day he will ask us to answer a challenge. Today we start with: What do we think about the change in global consciousness and how does this crisis affect us?
I think it is an opportunity for the entire world and a warning, to change things and rethink everything.
The need to have our own industry has been demonstrated. It cannot be that a country depends on other countries (which are also very far away) for supplies.
We need our own industry to return, to have it done here. Local manufacturing. We need jobs and value much more everything that is done here.
My hope is that the local consumption trend awakens. And let us understand that it is necessary for our future.
When we return to the streets we will see that there is much more poverty and difficulties. And we have to think about how we got to this and why? And not let everything go back to what it was before, because we have already seen that it has not gone well.
I think that every time we consume something we have to take an x-ray, and ask ourselves a series of questions.
Who has done it? Where? As? What does it contribute to society? And above all, where do you pay your taxes? Because as we have seen, thanks to our taxes we have Public Health.
Remind us that with our consumption we decide what world we want to live in.
How does this crisis affect me?
This crisis has caused my store to be closed since April 14.
The manufacturing workshops are closed, and the collection is waiting to be manufactured.
And in the store there are all those clothes that you always sell during the mid-season.
For me, the worst thing for me is not knowing anything, it's the worst thing these days. In my case, I submitted all the papers myself and I have not received any confirmation as to whether you have done it correctly. Yes I will receive any help.
And obviously the aid is not enough.
I am concentrating on online sales. Which is like having a second store but in a world full of stores and a lot of competitors.
In a world where the big guys can make free returns and you can't, because it could be your ruin.
